WOW! Former Mueller prosecutor and criminal law fare practitioner Andrew Weissmann bought $7.5 million in NYC real estate from creepy longtime co-investor Jeffrey Epstein just days before the bank funding the deal collapsed.
Let’s break this down for you all. Meet Leonard Toboroff, a NYC real estate attorney. He was “allegedly” helped Jeffrey Epstein launder money from Tower Financial, as Steven Hoffenberg states.
In 1988, Toboroff, Epstein, and Nederlander came up with an idea to co-invested in Riddell Sports. According to sources close to Epstein, Epstein lied about the source of the funds. $1.6 million investment, including the funds, was stolen from investors. YIKES! Sneaky Snake Leonard Toboroff didn’t seem to care that it happened.
But that’s not all. This sneaky snake Leonard was doing, sometime in 1986, Toboroff bought Epstein into a takeover bid for Pennwalt Corp. Hoffenberg knew Epstein was using STOLEN money!! WTH! Epstein spilled it and later admitted under oath that he lied about how much of the cash was his genuinely.
But wait… In April 2023, YES THAT RECENT! Andrew Weissmann, former head of DOJ’s Enron Task Force and Mueller’s Donald Trump’s impeachment bulldog, buys 2 condos from Leonard and Joy Toboroff for $7.5 million!! Seems like the sneaky snake Toboroff is cashing in big time this time. Weissman’s mortgage was dated in April 2023, so we know when it went down.
Jaw Drop! The lender, First Republic Bank, COLLAPSES just 5 days later!! OUCH! Here are the red flags though: the deal was structured to look like 2 separate condo buys to obscure the total value of the property, and there were no NYC transfer taxes. Uhm?? That’s shady.
Get ready for what Andrew did next: he wrote a DOJ policy on financial crime and was prosecuting fraud most of his legal career, but he was doing some sneaky business himself.
